I wanted to let you know that I've released the inaugural version of
got-portable.  See:

If you are on Linux and wish to try this, please do.  I know there's a few
packagers of Linux distributions who are already shipping pre-release versions
of got-portable.

Huge thanks to Stefan Sperling and others who've pestered me to get this done,
provided feedback, testing, patches, etc.

Any questions or problems, do please let me know.  There might be some
teething problems as things are still quite new.
