It looks like at this point the server closed the connection early.
We will need server-side logs to hopefully learn why this happened.

Could you please check what gotd is logging?

To see full gotd debug logs you need to edit /etc/syslog.conf and
change the line:

daemon.info						/var/log/daemon

to this:

daemon.*						/var/log/daemon

Restart syslogd to apply this syslog.conf change.

Now restart gotd as well with -vvv and gotd will log a lot more
to /var/log/daemon than before.

Repeat the failing got send operation and show the server-side logs.
