Introducing vc - built on top of Got
Hello. Just wanted to let the list know, I've uploaded a tool called vc (version control) for managing single files and using Got as the backend. The repo is accessible here: https://codeberg.org/simonh/vc ==================== Important Disclaimer ==================== Most of the tool was written using Google Gemini. I know AI is a very divisive issue so I'm letting you know upfront. If anyone finds it useful, or would like to modify it, please go ahead. Any comments, ideas appreciated. Simon p.s. Here is a demo (from the readme of the repo): [simon@computer 11:39:52] ~/tmp/vc-test $ vc vc version 0.11 Usage: vc <command> [arguments] Commands: init Initialize centralized repository tracking mirror status, st [file] Show workspace file status (T=Tracked, M=Modified, ?=New) list, ls List all tracked files across all directories ci [-m "msg"] <file> Check-In (Commit) a single required file co [rev] <file> Check-Out (Restore) a specific revision file id <file> Show checked-out and head revision tracking IDs revert, rv <file> Undo local modifications and roll back to HEAD state log [file] View chronological revision commit logs diff, di [file] Show line-by-line workspace modifications patch, pa <patchfile> Apply a unified diff patch to your workspace files [simon@computer 11:39:54] ~/tmp/vc-test $ vc st T hello ? newfile ? testing [simon@computer 11:39:55] ~/tmp/vc-test $ vc ci -m 'Add newfile' newfile Check-in successful!
