nice idea.
I have a small nit-pick.
Your first line says

Please use either
#!/usr/bin/env bash
or yet better, rewrite the script as POSIX and use:
#!/bin/sh

bash is not guaranteed to be in /bin (and isn't on OpenBSD at least).
